Coronavirus Chronicles

Updated: Dec 20, 2020

Let's get rid of the elephant in the room. Quarantine is as sucky as it gets. You want to leave the house. All of a sudden you wanted to go to the gym, start running and so much more. I get it. And that's my honest first reaction. Until I remembered, I'm very introverted. I've trained for this my ENTIRE life.

After the initial knee jerk reaction... it's honestly not that bad. Stick with me. How many mamas feel like they are in an Indy 500 from the moment you crack your eyes open? 🙋🙋 Personally, being able to take a break from the race is refreshing. Having time to sleep in a bit more, study the bible, journal, and just EXIST is wonderful. Now it's not all a great time. Homeschooling and working from home is difficult. But being at my "office" and looking out my window is peaceful. Looking over at Eli working through his assignments calmly, priceless. Getting rammed in the foot by Tippy because I can't hold him and type at the same...I could live without. I don't know how long this quarantine will last. What I do know is I'm going to enjoy afternoon walks and a slower pace of life with my boys (Tippy counts).
