The Power of Community

Updated: Dec 20, 2020

There has been some serious reflection and connections on this end. I remember wishing I could find groups of black women writers, businesses, and similar career trajectories. I seriously have to ask you a question though. Do y'all remember when the outside was open? đŸ˜©Me too. Back to the connections...

Thanks to not having a completely insane schedule I've made those connections. There is just something about conversing with strong women. I got the chance to participate in convos about the black experience, being a single mom, failing and trying again. Conversations about growing and being challenged as a writer. AND conversations about developing yourself and your business.

These connections have been so good for my soul. When you're an introvert networking can be SUPER awkward. But chatting with people who have the same goals from the comfort of my home... COUNT 👏ME 👏IN.

I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge people, including me, have been struggling. If you have found yourself having more bad days than good. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
